GIRL TOOLS

as i mentioned last week, i have a collection of new tools here in the atelier. tools that allow
me to apply heritage techniques to my current collection of work. my absolute favorite favorite aspect of the process these days is the hand hammering of copper and brass rivets. first of all, these rivets add an unrivaled power and strength to my carry goods... and they are supremely gorgeous.

pictured above is another new addition to my tools. this is a kingsley hot foil letter press machine. on the plate you will see, alongside the rawhide mallet and leather fid, an embossed strip of leather, sporting my brand name, SITALISA MARIE. with my kingsley i have also been producing splendid gold and silver stamped labels as well.

everybody has something they love to geek out on, at the moment, it's me and my kingsley... i love this antique buddy.

i have always been fascinated by days of old, antique furniture, vintage clothing, jewelry and photography, and now vintage tools and machines have made their way to the top of my happiness list.

my work is made not manufactured... utilizing the best of all worlds, heirloom processes in tandem with modern methods to yield a high end, artisan good... absolutely saturated in character.

above you see me at my anvil, tinkering away behind an oak round. my inner tomboy couldn't be happier, with a hammer and some heavy metal.

everything, absolutely everything that i produce in my atelier, is handcrafted with integrity, and uncompromising attention to beauty and utility.

thanks for stopping by for this mini studio tour.
i look forward to making your piece in the very near future.

ta ta for now.
