i was over the moon when i received a phone call from CARLEEN WILD at NBC, saying that she wanted to interview me. i am so grateful to have had the exposure, and to have hostessed carleen in my studio for a visit.

THE AURORA MESSENGER

designed as a piece of couture equipment, for the Git Er Dun Gal who has her irons in the fire.  grab and fill with all of the rightful trappings needed for the day or the excursion. THE AURORA  is a striking new twist on the messenger. certainly similar to THE VALENTINA, but smaller, with its own distinguishing details. 63 hand hammered copper rivets on the front flap alone, makes this carry good a real Looker!

 SITALISA MARIE is a Design Build business. every measure is taken to keep production methods 100% LEAN. this means accountability: patterns are puzzle pieced onto the leather skins, so very little scrap lands on the studio floor, aiming for zero waste whenever possible.  this also means your pieces are made once an order is confirmed, producing only what is required, reducing environmental impact by eliminating unwanted waste & stock. upcycled leathers are always available to select from as well as domestically tanned full grain skins as well.

a very merry greeting to all of you, in this season of giving!

i want to express my gratitude to everyone who has been a supporter of SITALISA MARIE

in 2012! i have considered this year to be a soft launch in this directed adventure of becoming a designer and developing a brand that responsibly straddles the line between craft and fashion. things are  snowballing 100 miles per hour around here at the atelier, my sleeves are rolled up, and i am tinkering at a full tilt production boogie. thank you to all of you who are giving the gift of SITALISA MARIE for the holidays!!!!  i have taken immense wind from all of the enthusiastic orders, inquiries, admirers, and helpers along the way. please know how vital your roll has been in the growth of this small business. please know how much your patience has been appreciated in this SLOW DESIGN MOVEMENT. new pieces are being put into place for the year 2013 to narrow delivery times.

i have been receiving a considerable number of requests in the past couple of days regarding last minute bag orders.  last week was the cut off for expedited pieces.
